2. Choosing the Right Plan
In the event of an accident or tragic loss, eligible members can utilize a $500,000 accidental death and dismemberment benefit. It may be used to cover expenses such as a mortgage, auto loan, tuition, and more.
The Temporary Total Disability benefit pays $500 per week, up to 52 weeks, in the event of total temporary disability. The Accidental Injury benefit pays up to $5,000 for each insured person per accident for all medically necessary expenses as a result of an accident. These can help make up for lost earnings if you're injured and under a doctor's care.
If avoiding high out-of-pocket medical costs is your goal, the physician office visit indemnity benefit pays up to $50 towards physician's office or clinic visits up to 5 times per year for eligible members. In-hospital, ICU, and surgical indemnity benefits can be utilized to help with out-of-pocket expenses.
